Goodhue Wildcats defeated Kenyon-Wanamingo's 19 turnovers 59-47 in the Wildcats Jungle on Tuesday night.

The Cavaliers took a short lead in the first half. At the time, the 6-foot-9 senior Paul Koch was changing and blocking shots for them, but when he came out to rest, Goodhoe took the ball directly to the basket and would take the lead. The advantage extends to double digits.

Kenyon-Wanamingo was able to reduce the lead to 7 points at halftime.

It didn't take long for the Wildcats to push their lead back to double digits in the second half.

With 2 minutes and 20 seconds left in the game, the two rounds led by 6 points, but the Cavaliers' mistakes and fouls caused Goodhue to win by double digits.

The Wildcats are just better physically. 6-foot-4 senior forward Dayne Wojcik scored 21 points to win our Cashwise Foods and Pharmacy of Owatonna delivery game to provide consistent hustle and bustle throughout the game.

Vosick scored 11 points in the first half and 10 points in the second half. The 6-foot-6 junior guard Will Opsahl scored 16 points, thanks in large part to 7 of 8 shots from the free throw line. 6'3 junior guard Adam Poncelet is another Goodhue player in double figures with 11 points.

Our bus service for the Kenyon Knights of the game is the seniors Luke Alme and Laden Nerison. 6'2 Alme led the Cavaliers to score with 16 points. He shot 6 of 8 from the free throw line. 6'3 Nerison made 4 of 5 shots and ended the game with 14 points.

Goodhue improved to 1-1 and headed to Cannon Falls on Thursday night. On Friday night, Kenyon-Vanamingo also went to New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva with a score of 1-1.

The Wildcats are participating in the Winona State Holiday Championship. They will play Alma, Wisconsin at 6:15 pm on December 27, 2021, and then play Winona Kotter at 5:15 pm on December 28, 2021

The Cavaliers played in a six-team game in Montgomery's Tri-Cities United. Other teams include Houston, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Leicester Meadows and Le Soul-Henderson.
